Hi Sean--Hope you and the family have a great holiday season!! Very nice black and white picture. You say you did most of the editing in Lightroom. Do you now prefer lightroom for B&W conversions or do you still favor Photoshop?

Darrell...thanks for the holiday wishes..same to you!
The black and white conversion controls in Lightroom are exactly the same as those in Camera Raw 4 (which comes with Photoshop CS3), as well as being essentially identical to the Black and White adjustment layer in Photoshop CS3. My aim is to apply as much of the global corrections to the raw file during the raw conversion process, be that in Lightroom or in Camera Raw. Since I use Lightroom for my initial image workflow tool, that is where I tend to apply those global raw adjustments.--Sean

I've really enjoyed your series of images from Acadia.

Hi! Just discovered your blog, and I'm in awe of your photography.

You mentioned you do most of your work in Lightroom. Do you have a quick way to do double-exposure in Lightroom?

Aleksa

Gorgious!
