Bronze-Age Lake Dwellings

This is an open air museum featuring several recreations of Neolithic and Bronze Age lake dwellings. Many remains of platforms and pilings, as well as other artifacts have been uncovered in the sediments near the lake shore since they were first discovered in 1927 (and the first replica structures here were built not long after that so these have a wonderful weathered feel to them since they have been out in the sun, rain, snow and wind for decades). It was August on the Lake of Constance when I took this, but it was cold and rainy that day. In retrospect, the mood was much better with the brooding clouds. It was sort of like being in the middle of Myst or Riven.
Another image of this same location (though not this same group of structures) was posted in late August of last year.
As with the rest of my Holga and pinhole images, the only Photoshop work here is basic dodging, burning and the addition of two flavors of sepia tone (the "blue" on the water is the natural gray tones of the black and white scan).
