Lake Dwelling Museum, Unteruhldingen, Germany [Canon 10D]

This was taken at the same location as yesterday's post and shows a partial reconstruction of a bronze-age lake dwelling village on the shores of the Lake of Constance in southern Germany. There are over a hundred such archeological sites that have been identified along the shores off the lake and at Unteruhldingen they have recreated structures from several periods from the stone age to the bronze age. This is a composite image that was constructed from 5 separate photos. I uses the automated Photomerge feature in Photoshop to do most of the work supplimented with some manual work to fix some of the areas that Photomerge didn't get quite right (there's always a few).
The weather in southern Germany has been quite rainy for much of our stay (fortunately we are not in any of the areas that have experienced catastrophic flooding in recent days). Although the cloudy, rainy weather has been disappointing in terms of the usual summertime, vacation activities, it has created some interesting conditions for photography, as can be seen in the image above. I doubt that this scene would have looked as interesting to my eye had it been bright and sunny.

Very pleasent picture ... thakns for sharing
